Day 107/365: Seneca on clearing our minds

Welcome to The Stoic Ledger, a daily money meditation from one of the Stoic sages.

107/365: Seneca on clearing our minds

“We should take wandering outdoor walks, so that the mind might be nourished and refreshed by the open air and deep breathing.” – Seneca

Taking walks is the gateway to better health and better ideas.

If you don’t have a walk routine established, experiment this week. How can you add 30 minutes to an hour of walks into your day? Phone calls, walk. Lunch break, walk. Catching up after work, walk. After dinner, walk. Stuck on a problem and spinning your wheels, walk.

The solution to any angst might not be more money or more stuff; it might be a wandering walk.
